Pregnancy is a very special and loving moment in your life. My role as a photographer is to capture the beauty of this time, as you prepare to welcome your precious baby into the world. Maternity sessions are very easy going, relaxed and may take place in the studio or any location that you prefer. You will always be looked after and I will ensure you are comfortable during your session. Some people prefer to have striking maternity images with just them, while others love to include older siblings, their partner or a combination of these. Prior to your session, we will discuss your vision by phone, email or you are welcome to stop by the studio. During this time we will go over your session location, any props, clothing, and the style of photography you would like- more casual or something more intimate. This will provide me with a valued perspective about what kind of person you are, your personality and how you want your photographs to look.
Generally, between 30-36 weeks is best but every mum is different. Once you see that baby bump appear, you’re ready so it’s best to book your photoshoot between the 30-36 weeks period, we can always adjust the
date depending on how your baby grows.
I want you to feel beautiful and comfortable so it’s good to choose clothes that like and you to feel your very best in your maternity photos. Solid colours work best and whichever colour makes you feel most like yourself is always a good choice.
Professional hair and make-up DO make a difference in maternity photos. This is a beautiful but stressful time in your life and to get your hair and makeup done for your photoshoot is a wonderful way to pamper yourself and you don’t have to worry about it. If this isn’t in your budget, you can do your own make-up and hair too, date night makeup works like a dream every time.
This is a natural and normal feeling that most mums-to-be experience, especially with their first pregnancy. You are growing a little baby inside of your body and with that comes a lot of changes to your own body. I completely understand. Through my lens I see these changes as absolutely beautiful and gorgeous and my number one priority as a professional photographer is to make you feel and look your best during the photoshoot. I can reassure you will look gorgeous in your photographs.
In my studio in Limerick city or you can choose a location that is most inspiring to you. This could be your home, a park, place where you got engaged, or any other place that has special meaning for you and your loved ones.
Your maternity photography session will be a joyful, meaningful and as comfortable as it can be experience. If your children are in the session I’ll take some time to get to know them so that they feel comfortable with me. My intention is for the session to be a fun experience for everyone involved, including your partner and children. I will guide and help you through some poses and aim to capture beautiful moments of interaction. It id these little moments between you and your family that you will cherish forever.
Together we will book a time 2-3 weeks after your session date for you to come in for your reveal and viewing gallery appointment.

The best time for a maternity photo is between 30-35 weeks of pregnancy, when your pregnancy “bump” is more defined. Booking your session a few weeks in advance is also recommended.
